Phantom Abyss is a game where players try to overcome dangerous temples filled with hidden traps, chasms, and enemies in order to reach the prize at the very end. Each player gets one shot to get the prize.

Phantom Abyss is a massive asynchronous multiplayer game that casts players into procedurally-generated temples and tasks them with retrieving the sacred relics hidden within deadly chambers. Intrepid adventurers will dodge scores of hidden traps, leap treacherous chasms, and flee relentless guardians through branching paths until one of the relics are claimed or the devices of death overwhelm them. Be warned, you only get one attempt at each temple and failure or settling for a lesser relic means you will never see that temple again... The cleverest players will use the phantom runs of failed attempts from other players to their advantage and avoid the missteps and mistakes that led to their doom. Asynchronous Multiplayer Explore the perilous halls and colossal rooms of each temple alongside the phantoms of fallen players that came before you.

Phantom Abyss offers an original experience, tinged with platform and roguelite, in a colorful "Indiana Jonesque" atmosphere but a flemmarde hair. The result is rather convincing at the moment and the asynchronous multiplayer adds a real little added value.

Movement is the name of the game, and Whip Again can drastically extend your air time and vertical distance. With quick enough reflexes, should your first grapple fail to help you reach a safe platform, Whip Again can give you a second chance to avoid falling into the abyss.

The choice of game modes will determine what kind of whip you have to use, what kinds of challenges you'll have to overcome, the number of ghost players that will be present, and arguably most importantly, what kinds of rewards you get if you're successful and manage to get your mitts on the relic at the level's end. Add to this additional whip tweaks that make them less frustrating to use, and also further ways to acquire cosmetic skins for your tools.

If you’re savvy enough, you can use the spectres to your advantage by dashing through while the traps reset. Conversely, they can also trigger a swathe of saw blades while you’re not looking, so it pays to be vigilant.
